Sweet Surprises

Hello February, nice to see you again so soon. And hello Goodwill friends! I hope your January was chilly and wonderful, and I hope you are enjoying all the hearts and love everywhere this week! I know early store decorations and merchandise can be a little annoying – but I don’t mind so much with Valentine’s Day. All the red and pink and sparkles and love – somehow it just makes shopping nicer.

This month, I shopped the Goodwill stores for some fun Valentine’s looks and February colors, and I found a PRETTY AMAZING jacket along the way! Check it out!

Thanks for shopping along with me this month friends. Happy Valentines, and happy shopping!

My first look was super-valentine-y – bright red and covered in hearts! But I think I could wear this one even after the holiday. The sweater is very light weight, and I love how the neckline is cut really high. The three-quarter sleeves are also a nice compliment to the longer torso section.

I also scored these super cute patent red pumps! A great way to dress up jeans is to add some classy heels, and for this look, it works perfectly! I’ve pretty much decided that this is my room-mom look for all my kiddos’ school Valentine’s parties!

My next look is all about this great pink blouse. I wish I could let you feel it, because the fabric is what sold me on it! It is a very light, flowy cotton blend on the front, and jersey knit on the back. I love the way it falls and fits! And the color was a perfect pick for Valentine’s! I paired this blouse with some high-waisted jeans and nude pumps for a classy look that’s still casual and fun.

I just can’t resist a pretty dress for Valentine’s. This dress is originally from Ann Taylor, but I bought it for just $6. The midi length is so feminine and sweet, and I love the bright vibrant color against the taupe. The color blocking technique in the design also lends itself to a clean, tidy overall look.

And finally, this was my crazy good find!! A real LEATHER JACKET! For just $19.99! I took the coat home and after just a little searching online, I found the EXACT same jacket retailing for $305.99!! WHAT??!! The coat was in great shape and really just needed a cleaning to be like new. I did some research online and figured out how to clean it myself in the washer at home – and voila – a practically new leather jacket for 20 bucks! This is why I love Goodwill, people!
