Toddlers in Tutus

image description

As I’ve mentioned before, I take my auntie duties very seriously and that is especially true with regard to keeping the kiddos looking stylish. One clothing item that is my personal kryptonite is a baby tutu, or really a tutu of any size for that matter. Something about that frothy little concoction of fabric brings me great joy, so anytime I’m shopping Goodwill and I see a peek of tulle from around the bend, I simply must investigate and see if it will fit one of my sister’s kids.

I hit the jackpot at Goodwill in Derby a few months ago when I found a brand new, in-the-package tutu with a matching headband! “Please be 12 months, please be 12 months,” I chanted to myself as I whipped around the corner to stake my claim before anyone else could spot this sparkly pink gem. Looking at the tag, I had yielded a victory, made even sweeter by the $3.99 price tag. This soft pink tutu with gold accents and a pink animal ears headband was the perfect find for my niece Nadia, who has the sparkling smile and personality to match (I mean, I’m not biased or anything).

We got her in it along with a cute burgundy onesie I had thrifted for her birthday for $1.99, and it was the perfect outfit combo. She was quite please with her new look as I think you can tell by the picture and I loved seeing her grin!

I’m always finding the cutest things for the kiddos at Goodwill with affordable prices. Next time you’re at your local Goodwill, stop by the kid’s section and see what you can find (just don’t snatch up all the tutus ;-). Happy Hunting!
