WICHITA, KAN. — Adult Project SEARCH, a business-led collaboration that enables individuals with disabilities to gain and maintain employment through on-the-job training and career exploration, celebrated the graduation of its latest cohort at Cintas Wichita on Thursday, October 27 at 1:30 pm.

Goodwill Industries of Kansas serves as the lead agency for the Adult Project SEARCH program that gives participants valuable real-life work experience in an integrated work environment through a seven-month internship with its business partner, Cintas Wichita.

To provide a realistic experience, prospective interns apply and interview for the program. They then complete an on-site skills assessment and if accepted into the program, complete typical orientation, job training and job shadowing during their experience.

“The goal of the program is competitive employment in the community and so knowing the power of work provides dignity, confidence and a more independent life, we’re proud to celebrate this milestone with this group,” said Laura Ritterbush, President and CEO.

The graduation lasted about an hour and featured Goodwill and Cintas speakers.
