Round Up for Hays ARC Park

In a heartening collaboration this fall, Goodwill’s Hays retail store participated in a special register round-up campaign to support the Hays ARC Park. The Hays ARC Park stands for accessible recreation complex, but it is more than a playground; it is a new standard bearer for inclusivity, providing safe and accessible spaces for individuals of all ages and abilities.

In an area where an estimated 1,400 children and adults face the challenges of disabilities, this park becomes more than just a recreational space—it becomes a sanctuary of inclusion.

The retail team in Hays, which has won our March Gladness round-up competition the last two years, rallied the community to support this initiative. During September and October, the store encouraged shoppers to round up their change to the nearest dollar with all proceeds going to the park. The campaign was a success, and a $5,000 check was presented to representatives of the park in late November.

The Hays ARC Park exemplifies the strength of community collaboration, uniting organizations for a shared cause that positively impacts the entire community. Bravo to the retail team in Hays for their excellent work supporting this project.
