Danielle Baughman, Retail District Manager for Goodwill Industries of Kansas, has recently completed an achievement worthy of recognition.

An employee of Goodwill for over nine years, Danielle (pictured first row in the middle) was approached by Executive Leadership about applying for Goodwill Industries International’s (GII) Senior Leader Program (SLP).

The Senior Leader Program offers an excellent opportunity to develop higher-level leadership skills required for performance excellence. It also provides opportunities to enhance organizational and teamwork skills needed to handle the formidable challenges associated with moving into new and increasingly complex leadership roles.

Danielle was accepted into the program and began this fast-paced, intensive six-month learning experience earlier this year where she was challenged along with five others in cohort #26 to develop solutions to challenges faced in Goodwill member organizations across the country.

Cohort #26 focused on employee retention and their capstone presentation offered an exceptional onboarding experience as being a key step in building employees’ knowledge base of the Goodwill mission. As Baughman explained, “we have employees that don’t really know the scope of what we do. I think it’s extremely important that we give them that knowledge so that they can be proud of where they work”.

Danielle is grateful for her experience with SLP as it challenged her to “push out of her comfort zone” and develop relationships with other up-and-coming leaders across the Goodwill network.

Goodwill is proud to help people achieve their full potential through programs like SLP. Congratulations Danielle!
