Goodwill partners with WSU Tech to introduce middle, high school and GED students in Kansas to high-demand STEM careers in a hands-on, interactive and impactful way.
Mobile STEM Lab
The FutureMaker Mobile Learning Lab uses 3D, virtual reality and robotics technology to spark interest in technical education. Students can try their hand at science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers.
All activities relate to actual, in-demand STEM careers in fields like aviation, health sciences and advanced manufacturing. Select activities even feature technology used in college-level technical education or the industry itself.
Sample Activities
- Making steel repairs using a virtual reality welder
- Painting automotive and aerospace parts using a virtual spray gun
- Programming mobile robots to successfully navigate a course
- Taking apart, wiring and building components in 3D virtual reality
