Embracing New Opportunities

Stacy C. came to our Empower Opportunity Center after seeing a Facebook post about employment opportunities. Eager to enter the workforce, she had no formal work experience, having devoted many years to raising her seven children. With her family now more independent, Stacy was ready to focus on her own career goals.

With the guidance of one of our Success Coaches, Graciela, Stacy created her résumé and applied for the Fabricator II position at Goodwill. Within a few weeks, Stacy was offered the job. Throughout the process, she stayed engaged, expressing genuine excitement and appreciation for the support she received.

Stacy has been in her role since January 2026 and is happy in her new environment. She has built strong relationships with both her supervisor and coworkers. She expressed how excited she is to be working and how grateful she feels for the opportunity.

Stacy continues to stay connected with Graciela, who has provided ongoing support and encouragement throughout her journey. We are proud to support her in her new role at Goodwill.
