When Bryan first joined Goodwill, he appeared shy, but over time, he opened up, occasionally sharing jokes and forming meaningful relationships. His goal was to improve his work skills and eventually secure a job in the community.
At Goodwill, Bryan has worked in various roles, including bagging and boxing fiber, inserting plumbing parts, and operating a pallet jack. His determination is clear, and he’s made wonderful progress in just a few years. In this time he has also grown more comfortable interacting with staff and peers.
Bryan is actively working with his Employment Training Specialist (ETS) to explore job opportunities in the Wichita community, with a strong interest in warehouse work. He’s now certified to operate a pallet jack, adding to his valuable job skills.
In his personal life, Bryan enjoys hiking in Colorado and spending time with his mom and brother. His job at Goodwill has provided the support he needed to live independently in his apartment, with his emotional support dog, Misty, who has been with him for 10 years.
Bryan is excited to celebrate earning his 5-year certificate with Goodwill and looks forward to continuing his career growth.
