One Year of Donation Express: 12,400 Reasons to Celebrate!

July 23rd marked the first anniversary of our very first attended donation center – Donation Express – and what a year it’s been!

Since opening its doors, the site has received more than 12,400 donations, including a record-setting 97 donations in a single day. What started as a convenient drive-up option has grown into a true model of operational excellence, thanks to the leadership of Director of Operations Rick Thompson and Transportation & Warehouse Manager Rick Barrow.

But the heart of Donation Express? That would be Team Leader Stephanie Stephens, whose dedication, reliability, and upbeat attitude continue to make a lasting impact.

“She’s the kind of team member every operation hopes for,” says Barrow.

Beyond just accepting donations, the team has gone above and beyond by taking on major back-end responsibilities – sorting and prepping over 700 gaylords of textiles, wares, and shoes for resale across other Goodwill locations.
