The New Retail Store in Pratt is Expected to Open This Fall

PRATT, KAN. — Local nonprofit Goodwill Industries of Kansas (GWKS) is pleased to announce the location of its newest retail store in Pratt, providing a mission-driven shopping and donating option to community members in South-Central Kansas.

The new store will be located at 2020 E. 1^st St. in Pratt, occupying approximately 5,000 square feet in the former Hibbett Sports location. Renovations will be led by Dondlinger Construction, with the store expected to open this fall.

“We’re excited to expand into the Pratt community and provide shopping, sustainability, and employment opportunities for the local community,” said Laura Ritterbush, President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Kansas. “Each new store allows us to invest more deeply in our mission of helping Kansans overcome barriers to employment through education, training, and meaningful job opportunities.

Like other Goodwill Industries of Kansas locations, the Pratt location will accept and sell gently used clothing, shoes, furniture, electronics, and home decor.

Goodwill’s retail operations directly support its mission programs, which provide critical services to individuals facing employment challenges. Through adult education, workforce training, and day services programs, Goodwill helps transform lives and strengthen communities across the state. In 2025, GWKS delivered more than 18,000 program services to Kansans.

A grand opening celebration will be announced in the coming months. In the meantime, shoppers and donors are invited to follow @goodwillks on social media and visit www.goodwillks.org for updates, store information, donation guidelines, and details about Goodwill’s mission services.
