As news about COVID-19 (the Coronavirus disease) continues to spread, we wanted to assure you that Goodwill Retail Stores and Mission Services plan to remain open to our community.

Additional precautions are being taken for the safety of our customers, staff and program participants. These include:

  • Actively encouraging persons displaying any symptoms of illness to stay home until they are symptom free for at least 24-48 hours
  • Emphasizing respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene by all staff and program participants
    • Training people to cover noses and mouths with a tissue when coughing/sneezing
    • Encouraging more frequent hand-washing
  • Performing more frequent sanitation of surfaces

While we take this situation very seriously, Goodwill is more than a thrift store. Many rely on Goodwill for shopping and donating – but beyond that people look to Goodwill for employment, education services, disability services and much more.

Thank you for your continued support of Goodwill Industries of Kansas. If you should have any concerns, please feel free to share them with me.

In good health,
Molly Fox
