Spring has Sprung

Hello to all my Goodwill readers! I always look forward to getting to put this blog together for you and spending some time treasure hunting at my local stores. I hope you find good tips and ideas to make your Goodwill trips just as much fun!

This month I asked my little sister, Megan, to help me out as a model. Guys, she’s such a pro! It wasn’t hard to find some cute things that looked great on her.

Our first look was a bright orange jersey knit dress paired with a beautiful royal blue and gold necklace. You can’t go wrong with contrasting colors, and I love how the necklace came to life against this dress! I am definitely a fan of simple accessories. I think it’s so easy to miss the beauty of a piece of jewelry when it’s lost in too much “extra” in a look, so don’t be afraid to keep it simple and choose a piece of jewelry to really shine in your look.

Our next look was cute as a button! We found a soft, stretchy geometric dress in a really cool print. I love how this pattern has great pops of color throughout – and even though the print is busy, it really works in this look. We found a silver bracelet that complimented the dress pattern design and finished the look with beige heels.

The final look was my favorite! We found a romper in this romantic cream color and lace fabric  and with my sisters naturally tan skin (some people get all the good genes), I knew it would be such a great look for her. We added a vintage stone necklace and Meg had the idea to mix it up a little with a more modern looking watch! We finished the look with a pair of strappy sandals, added in a dramatic sunset/windmill photo-shoot, and voila! A great spring look for all those warm spring days that are on their way!

A big thank you to my little sister for still playing dress up with me and a big thank you to YOU for reading! Can’t wait to catch up with you next month!
