All the Pretty Dresses

Hi friends! I hope your summer is beautiful so far! My favorite parts of summer are sitting in the sun, swimming in the pool and listening to that beautiful summer chorus of frogs and crickets on these warm summer nights. Recently, I saw that they have back to school supplies out, and I won’t lie – I was a little sad! I want some more summer time with my babies before I have to give them back!

Even though summer is coming to an end soon, there’s still plenty of time to wear all those cute summer dresses – and this month, I found a few to show you! For this first dress, I wanted to share a couple different styling ideas to use the same dress for daytime and an evening out.

This dress is from the GAP and is impossibly comfortable! Which is why I wanted to figure out how to wear it for day and night! So the daytime look first – I kept it really simple with some brown leather sandals, a matching belt and some cute sunglasses. The trick here is to use the belt to blouse out the top of the dress and shorten the length of the maxi dress to a midi length. I threw my hair up into a ponytail, and voila! A comfy, cute and still sophisticated summer day dress!

For the evening look, I kept the accessories minimal as well. Black is so classy on its own, it doesn’t need too much to look elegant. I added a long, gold pendent necklace, gold drop earrings, a bracelet, and some cute strappy wedges. A little hairspray, and you’re ready for dinner out in a snap!

I continued with the maxi theme and found this cute jersey knit dress WITH the tags still on! I would have paid $20 retail for this look, but instead I got it for just $5.99! I love the cut on this dress around the arms, and the way it falls is so comfortable and flattering. I paired it with some fun turquoise earrings I found, and some simple flats for the finished look.

The last look is a super cute knit dress that would work great with flats for a daytime look, or paired with heels for a fun evening look. My shoes were a super find – Michael Kors and just $6.99!

Enjoy the rest of your summer friends! Catch you next month!
