Hello, fellow Goodwill shoppers! The warmer months always seem to bring the arrival of wedding invitations. With the excitement of attending the wedding comes the thought of what to wear. I’ve put together a few looks that I think would work well. Best of all? They’re all totally thrifted!
Every girl needs a little black dress. This simple black dress from Anthropologie was perfect to wear to our cousin’s wedding on a warm day in June. The flutter sleeves and sheer overlay of the dress give it a little extra flare. I picked up this (new with the original tags still attached!) dress for $9.99. The typical Anthropologie dress averages over $100 retail, so it’s always exciting to find deals like this. On a side note, my husband’s outfit is also thrifted. The total for his look? Just under $15.
I love a great floral skirt, so I was really excited to find this one at my local Goodwill for just $3.49. It is also from Anthropologie. I paired it with a chambray shirt from Banana Republic, which I found for only $3.99. This would be perfect to wear as a guest to an outdoor garden wedding.
The next outfit is one of my favorites and perfect for attending a summer wedding! Floral peplum blouse is by H&M. I paired it with a brand new Ann Taylor skirt ($3.49!) and Apartment 9 nude heels. The whole look was just under $20!
I couldn’t pass up this GAP black maxi dress. Especially when the price was only $5.99! It is so versatile and that’s why I love it! You can wear it alone for a casual look or pair it with a bright scarf, some fun jewelry, a sweater or jacket for a totally different look. There are so many ways to wear dresses like this so I always like to have them in my closet. I feel like these are the pieces you will reach for time and time again.
So there you have it. Some fun, summer wedding looks that don’t have to break the bank. I always shop my local Goodwill first when planning an outfit for a specific occasion. You just never know what you’re going to find!
