Congratulations to Tina Luper, Goodwill’s 2016 Marie Mareda Employee of the Year! She was honored at the Goodwill Annual Celebration on October 13. Read more about the event and our other honorees.
The 2016 Marie Mareda honoree, Tina Luper, joined Goodwill in September of 2002 and has served in many roles over the past 14 years. Starting under Mrs. Mareda, she has worked closely with the Goodwill board, volunteers, staff and the retail team to both recognize and support mission services at all Goodwill locations. She is a multi-talented individual who rises to meet every challenge with enthusiasm, dedication and a positive attitude.
In addition to helping keep me and the board stay organized, she is also currently responsible for planning all of our annual fundraising events – including this celebration tonight. She also serves as a valuable member of the Leadership Team and oversees the register round up program which totaled more than $166,000 in donated change this year alone. She continues to work tirelessly to ensure ongoing financial support for Goodwill’s mission with unparalleled devotion to those we serve. Her many years of experience working with community volunteers has been as asset to Goodwill Industries – and while she has a lot of historical knowledge to offer, she is still open and willing to try new ideas. Tina is grounded by her faith, family and the desire to make a difference in the lives of others. She exemplifies the mission of Goodwill in her personal and professional life every day.
