Transition Your Look to Fall

FALL IS HERE! I hope you have enjoyed these first few weeks of September, and if you’re like me, you’ve already started pulling out a few of those cozy fall shirts and scarves just to be ready for when the temperature starts to drop. Of course my favorite place to find cozy new additions to my fall wardrobe is my local Goodwill.

This month, I wanted to show you a few looks we put together for my niece for early fall. Some are perfect for the end of summer heat that’s still hanging around, and some are just warm enough for those early touches of chill in the air.

This first look was one of my favorites! Lace embellished shorts with a peach colored tank top and matching lace embellishments. If you can believe it, this was not a matching set, but they were made for each other! The shorts and tank make this a great look for the hot end to summer, but the autumn color and lace are a perfect touch of romantic fall. Total cost for this outfit was about $8.

This cute dress was such a perfect fit for Caris! The length and cap sleeves are so flattering, and the color and pattern are muted, but still vibrant. This dress is just the right cut for the end of summer, but you could easily add leggings, riding boots, and a scarf and dress it up for fall in a cinch. I also really love that this dress has so much orange in it, but is not blatantly orange. I think warmer colors like orange and yellow can be harder for people to wear – but a fine pattern like this one breaks up the color enough to make it wearable and not too overwhelming. This dress was just under $5.

This last look was a perfect cozy fall look put together with end of summer colors. Turquoise and light pink are always good friends, and the casual jersey scarf compliments the knit, three quarter length sleeve sweater so perfectly. The rolled jeans are a cute way to keep this look cool and summery, but when the cooler days come, add some riding boots and you’ll be good to go! This look was just over $10 to put together.

Enjoy these last days of summer, and get over to your local Goodwill to start cozying up your wardrobe for fall!
